I think that the PP's are the most aesthetically appropriate for the 964. My 993tt had the Euro GT3 seats installed when I purchased it & while they were surprisingly comfortable, I could never quite get used to the oversized look.
Regarding the height factor - I'm 6'5" with an even proportion between legs / torso and wide shoulders. I've sat in both seat types & didn't feel that either were too restrictive.
To give yourself more headroom, you may want to consider using these - http://www.bkauto.com/category_s/244.htm
You loose the ability to slide the seat, though I found the driving position to be perfect. My set is for sale, if interested...
I also think that the Recaro A8 is a great looking seat for the 964 - plus it retains the tilt feature for accessing the rear area.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but looks like the gT3 seats are a safer option.

I used the GT3 seats in my C2 and I am 6'1" and not small I had to remove the seat cushion to fit into the car with a helmet but I have a long torso and short legs.
If I can fit comfortably in them any can but as far as head room you may be SOL if you plan on tracking unless you have long legs.

Three Wheelin'
I bought them to have a sporty look for the interior, race car like seat feeling and to preserve my OEM seats.
These are a breath of fresh air to the interior, I also installed the Atiwe OEM accessory wheel with embossed porsche crest (better steering wheel than the OEM)

Uhhh, not necessarily for street.. but I just realized I have a couple of Recaro ProRacer Halo seats that I don't need anymore.. so, they're officially for sale.
Love the A8s btw!

Some pictures per OP's request.
Still have not driven it yet to get you a full experience.
I am removing the passenger seat to install the Rennline universal fire extinguisher mount.
I have to address the rear speakers as you may recall I installed Rainbow Audio rear speakers and the HU is not powerful enough to power them, so I will re route them to the Amplifier under the passenger seat.
I will drive it to the detailer(nano ceramic coating) and then its for Summer Hibernation in an climate controlled garage and till the weather is better in October to drive.
