I bought the car back in '02 from TN and as usual, the Porsche dealer that did the PPI, missed the slight oil leak the car had

Well since I don't drive the car much, it didn't cause much problem but the oil leak always bothered me.

I spent countless number of hours/$$$$ chasing those oil leaks not to mention trying every Porsche mechanic here in KY.

Talked to Dan Jacobs about 2 years ago and finally decided, it's time some one who loves and apprciates these cars as much as we all do, to work his magic on the car.

Here it is, on it's way to Hairy Dog Garage, CT

Default and here we go..

Car will be getting a thorough inspection and per Dan/Baron (son), what ever needs to be changed/done, will be done.

All seals (Front/intermediate and RMS)/hoses along with valve adjustment, plugs, wires, fuel lines, compression/leakdown etc etc.

I will also be getting a new clutch, even though it looks fine. Car has 40K miles so it's a no brainer to have it replaced while the engine is out.

Thinking about getting a wevo short shifter on Baron's recommendation. They have done it on quite a few 964's and customers seems to like them.

As you all recall, I needed an Axle plate bushing which I couldn't find one. The only option was to have bought a new plate ($$$) and just use the bushing out of it . However Baron and the crew were able to find me a good used one laying around the shop

I also needed a Fog light and I was told they might be able to find one laying around the shop too.

The current B&B exhaust tips bothered the hell out of me so much so that I would rather have those tips replaced than getting the leaks fixed.

Once again, Baron to the rescue, as he might have a pair of 993 tail pipes laying some where around the shop as well

Here are few pictures taken by Baron (cell phone).

More to follow as the work progreses.

Congrats on getting her perfect. Dan Jacobs runs an excellent outfit.
One thing you mentioned may not be possible. I believe(from looking on their site), Wevo does not make a shifter for your vehicle. Try calling them to verify but on their site there is no listing for it.

Enjoy that beast in good health.

Nice looking car - of course :-) What suspension are you running? Looks like Billies and H&R's? Is that an adjustable ride height setup or fixed height spring/strut combo? Most important: I'm curious about how it rides - particularly over large cracks, expansion joints, etc?

Thanks-

Brandon

Default Update:

Engine is back in the car.
Look at the fan when motor was removed and look at it now... Mark is the the guy who's working on the car and he couldn't stand the dirty fan and had it polished and clear coated. This is something I didn't even ask for and was the exact reason why the car was sent to Dan (attention to detail). I thought that was pretty
Compression/leakdown done which per Baron the car passed with flying colors.
Comp (Cyl1 135, Cyl 2 130, Cyl 3 135, Cyl 4 135, Cyl 5 130 and Cyl 6 135 and Leakdown ..all under 1%)
Baron was able to find an extra Axle plate bushing from some where with in the shop which has been installed.
Servo motors have also been sourced from some where with in that shop too and have been replaced and are supposedly working fine.
Though clutch was fine but since the RMS had leaked some oil there, I decided on baron's recommendation to go ahead and have it replaced too
Alignment and corner balancing done
We are now working on some little customized stuff that has bothered me for quite some time, like the tail pipes, HIDs etc etc

I think I can have that baby brought back to Daddy by mid March

On a side note, Baron (Dan's son) texted me some information on the car late last night (8 PM) and when I called him, we ended up chatting cars for almost 45 minutes.

Baron, if you are reading this, you are great. The customer service has been super and the level of patience for putting up with customers is un real.

The people in Tri-state area are so dang lucky and those that haven't tried Dan's shop have no idea what they are missing out on.

Test fitting some custom tail pipes I like how they fill out those cut outs. The one on the passenger side is the stock B&B one.

The car was already lowered but I never did like the stance. Spoke to Baron who had Mark lower the car even further.

I really like the new squatted rear end look though

Per Mark, it can be lowered further but for good street driving this should do fine.

However, It seems like to finsih off the stance, i unfortunately might need some spacers (5-7 mmm)?

He found them in his shop

He has no clue what car they came off from and I would say you would probably have to send the car to CT for him to go looking for another pair

Joking aside, the back end is quite different and had to be custom fit to my car.

I will ask Baron on Monday to see if he could find out some detail on those pipes
