Hello,
My name is Mohammed and I am a huge 964/993 fan. I am currently in the market for a 964 Turbo and I stumbled accross this specimen whilst searching on google.
It's a Guards Red 1991 Porsche 964 3.3 Turbo.
The car has Aftermarket BBS wheels, aftermarket speakers (Guessing) and upgraded exhaust.
Has around 43,200 miles and going for $56,900
http://sloancars.com/3413/1991-964-c...k-43002-miles/
I've already contacted the seller and waiting for his reply. What I would like is to acquire a clean 964 T and install Speedlines for that Bad Boys Turbo look.
Your help and assistance is greatly appreciated,
Mo

That red car is overpriced as only a Sloane offering can be ![Big Grin](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Having said that, I've learned from experience that it's far cheaper to overpay a little for the best examples then to buy a beater and try to make it a concour car.
From a quick scan of the photos:
* the interior shows a little more wear than I'd like to see on a 40k mile car (drivers seat bolster and knee pad directly below the ignition switch)
* something's wedged in between the cooling slats at the front of the car (laser jammer?)
* ugly B&B exhaust tips
* nice BBS wheels but what size tires are those?
* engine compartment - fan needs to be re-finished
So $7-9k to make it a "concour" car which in the world of 964-965's is cheap (ask me how I know). The bulk of those funds are for authentic restored Speedline wheels.
Good luck and good hunting.

^ Would you buy that particular car ?
Interior re upholstery is pretty cheap here in Kuwait and can be done. As for the exhaust if it has aftermarket exhaust can the tips be replaced, I was under the impression that they can.
I was interested in getting a 964 T adding speedline and headers. the shape of 964T 3.3 & 3.6 are my favourite porsche design.

Yes, everything is repairable or reversible on that car. It wouldn't be a bad buy.

^ I would like to thank you for the fast reply,
Where can I get speed lines ?
There are oem and aftermarket right one by porsche and the other by RH ? either wont dissapoint honestly.
What exhaust setup would you recommend, I want a meaty sound/roar. I saw vid's the car backfires on downshifts.

After a quick look - looks like a nice car to me. Seems a little pricey - but I'm not expert on value - considering it has ho-hum aftermarket wheels , in my opinion. I think there is a guy selling soem new Speedlines here on RL for a modest sum ($8000??). I hear RH's are nice too. Both look great to me! I like how this red car has heated sport seats. Then again you may not care about heated seats in Kuwait like I do here in Denver, Colorado!! Exhaust tips are easily changed. I think OE looks good as do Fabspeed (which I have). I'm sure there are others. Whatever you do might I sugggest gutting the wastegate cat/muffler - the sound on full boost when the wastegate opens is addictive.
Good luck - have fun

Looks like a nice car. I purchased my car from Sloan and would highly recommend a pre-purchase inspection before you buy. Dan Jacobs would be my recommendation but there are other shops in the area as well.
BTW - Richard doesn't always own all the cars he lists for sale. Just be aware.
Here is another one (slightly more pricey):

I purchased my '92 964T for $40k and it was bone stock and in outstanding condition. I can't believe anybody would pay that much, especially for a car that isn't stock. That said, it is a beautiful car. One more thing, if you want the Bad Boys look why are you considering a gaurds red?
