lucky second chance
A few years ago i parted with my lovely horizon blue car. For those who dont remember it was a Brunei special that was my only Porsche at the time.
I sold it to get something more usable and was tempted by a good (at the time )
price. Since then prices moved on and when i looked for a turbo to go with the
C2 i bought next , they were rising fast. It was looking that
a very average 3.6 was all i could hope for or more likely an excellent 3.3
Well, in an incredibly unlikely & exciting week i found my old car in a private
collection / museum and was offered it. Having covered a few hundred miles a year and very well looked after it was as good if not better than the day
i first fell in love with it back in 2005. Still just 17,000 miles on the clock.
In this case absence certainly made the old heart fonder ; a deal was struck , all stops pulled out,
and the rest they say is history. I cannot describe how i feel but you can maybe imagine.
Seemed like destiny.
Lesson learnt

Thanks guys , esp SA Mike - i think your car is in far away in Norway
I plan to enjoy the car for what it is ; a rare and beautiful collectors item that
must be carefully looked after but when the conditions are right can still be used as the
makers intended. I can only do this without frustration now that i have a couple of other cars.
It is as i sold it , fully serviced , and with only the reversible mods i did. It has a fabspeed cat bypass , clear lenses and bilstein shocks with the MO30 springs.
Maybe should change the springs. At some stage i may upgrade the turbo. I
still have the original wheel centres i can put back on.
Heres another pic i took the day i got it back home. I love the way the colour changes.
In dull lighting it changes to pale blue.

Maybe because the car was fitted with Ruf EKS clutch as we're most Brunei bound cars.
