Does anyone know how hot it gets in the engine compartment of a 964?

I don't know the exact answer to your question, someone like Adrian Streather might... but I would suggest that the answer depends on a number of things...

First, do you mean when the car is stopped for a period of time? What about the temp outside - ie hot day, cold day?

Or do you mean when the car is in motion, but not driving really hard (ie, not a track day)?

The hottest I think I have seen my engine get it during a dyno, but that is rare. In fact, it was so hot my exhaust was glowing red hot.

What I am looking for is the highest temperature found in the engine compartment in the hsrdest of conditions.
