Thumbs up RUF RCT Evo

Here are a couple of photos of the 425 HP RUF RCT Evo I spent most of the 21st march 2003 driving a the invitation of Alois RUF. The second turbo in the photo is a brand new 996 GT-2 which had just had the engine kit installed providing circa 482 bhp of grunt.
The RCT Evo you see started life as a model year 1990 Carrera 2.

Adrian,
lucky you get to drive the Ruf RCT. What did it feel like? Tell us more. I'm currently driving a Ruf BTR (conversion) and I'm in love with it. It's so characterfull.

Dear Sameer,
An article I have written about my visit will soon be on my web site. I will let you know when it is up. The article that is.
Briefly, this RCT Evo was a club sport version. Weighed in at around 1200 kgs. It was set up for racing as well as road use. In second gear I had the front end rearing up and the rear wheels spinning at 140 kph. This RCT Evo kept up with a 482 HP GT-2 so it is seriously quick. It handles very well. It drives more like a normal 964 until you stick the boot in. Then it just takes off. It is one impressive machine.

Adrian

I always liked the 993TT tail. I think it looks really good. I don't know if I would ever put it on a 964 style turbo. What do you guys think.

Those wheels are awsome, I love the way they look.

That doesn't look like a 993 turbo wing, I think it's actually a 964 turbo S wing.....could be wrong though.
