Post EZ69 control unit

Anybody out there know what a EZ69 control unit is? And if so, where do we find it on our cars. I was looking at the wireing diagram and came across this:

To the right you'll see an octane setting...anybody seen this before?

Well I answered one of my own questions. The control unit is on the drivers side quarter panel area in the engine bay (where all the round plugs attach). So has anybody ever changed this parameter? I'm guessing it might effect the timing (less octane...more retard perhaps).

Jeff,
These units are not able to be changed. They are sealed and not serviceable. Sorry
