I'm in Love!
.....Last night my wife and I went to a PCA Event - a show & shine kind of night. We brought our '90 C4 Cabriolet. We saw lots of great cars, but my personal favorite was a '94 3.6L Turbo. This particular car was dark blue with grey interior. I chatted with the owner and had a great look at the car. It was bone stock, immaculate and had only 25,000 miles on the odometer. I fell in love!
According to the latest Excellence magazine - that car should be able to command somewhere in the neighborhood of $60,000!
If you've got a '94 964 Turbo, please post a few pics. I'd love to see 'em and I'm sure others in the group wouldn't mind a vouyeristic look either!

Thanks for the pictures Greg & Kevin - those are fabulous looking machines! When I think about my next Porsche, I can see myself looking for one these or an RS America. That day is a long way off though! In the meantime, take care of those turbos for me! Someday your car might be mine!
Greg - What seat option does your car have? My '90 C4 Cab was ordered from the factory with "turbo" seats. They have huge side bolsters. (I absolutely love them!) Your seats look like normal 911 seats. Perhaps it was some sort of comfort seating option?
Dr. Chris - I live in S.W. Florida too in the Coral Springs area between Ft. Lauderdale & Boca Raton. The PCA event was held by the Goldcoast Region up in Jupiter - just north of Palm Beach. The actual location was the Abacoa shopping center. The club had the three main streets in the shopping/restaurant district closed off and lined with Porsches. Abacoa has an outdoor ampitheater and they had a great band playing - people sitting on blankets in the grass, etc. They had a great turn out with I believe more than 30 cars. Including two concourse condition 356's! ...and of course my favorite car of the evening - that dark blue 94 Turbo!

Yes - I think my seats are either "standard" or "comfort", instead of the "sport" seats often seen on turbos. They have all-way electric adjustment (including lumbar) and seat heating. I think the sports seats were an option, even of this model...
Suits me actually - I don't fit very well in the sports seats..

Dear Terry,
The sports seats installed in the 964 are 944 sports seats and were offered as an option long before the Turbo came on the scene. I know because I have them in my 1989 C4.
You could call them 944 Turbo (951) seats actually because I believe these specific seats were first offered on the 951 in 1986. For the 964 they are option M383 and M387.
Ciao,
Adrian

Greg,
What exhaust do you have on your car, those tips look fabulous. They look much better than the systems I've seen on local cars where the tips stick way out from the bumper.

FC - they are Cargraphic tips and sports exhaust. (Not a complete exhaust, it's just the back boxes)

Greg,
Is there are a marked difference in sound compared to factory? Is it much louder, sound better, etc? Do you have a picture with a close up shot taken from the side. It seems most exhaust systems' tips on this side of the pond stick out so far beyond the back bumper which looks a bit odd IMO.
Thanks,

fc -
this is the closest I have:
As far as the sound goes - I'm not really sure what what the stock exhaust sounds like. This one is quite loud, and sounds fantastic as well - at low revs it sounds like a 5 or 6 litre engine, then at around 3K rpm it starts to make a wonderful gruff howling sort of noise (hard to describe but wonderful to hear). And on the overrun (closed throttle down hill etc) it's easier to hear the classic popping noise...
Most of the time I drive it I have the windows open <img src="graemlins/bigok.gif" border="0" alt="[thumbsup]" />
