12 way power seat jam up!!!!
My power seat on the passenger side of my 1991 C2T recently jammed in the fully forward position after I moved it to get something off the back floor. I've checked the fuse(#6 slot position) and it is OK. Any suggestions??

Chris:
None of switches activate a motor in the seat? If not, then the seat is not getting power and you need to check all the wires to make sure one of them wasn't cut or broken.
If all but the foward/reverse work, I would check out the switch. They do fail from time to time. I just can't imagine the motor would fail suddenly.
Good luck - when you get the snafu solved, post the answer. Others may benefit from your discovery.

Finally got it fixed. After taking the seat out or basically tipping the seat onto the drivers side allowed me to see the "underworkings" of the seat. I reattached the main power plug (a 5 prong,3/4 inch by 1.5 inch rectangle)which was impossible to get to with seat bolted in. I'm back moving 12 ways again, which sure beats the old hand cranking which must be used to get to the 2 bolts at the front and 4 in the back. Must have tools are a 6mm allen socket and a 10inch breaker bar. Its a tight squeeze for the 2 front bolts in the back. Total time 1/2 hour.
