Post '94 3.6 turbo

I have just purchased a '94 3.6 turbo. It has 14,000 miles on clock and is RHD (ex UK) white with dark grey interior. The vehicle is perfect and in concours condition. I sold my 2000 996 Carrera 4 (with 3,750 miles) and relaced it with the 3.6 turbo, because I was bored out of my mind with the 996! This 964 3.6 turbo is awesome, and has again rekindled in me the 911 tradition. (I think I lost it with the 996). Prior to the 996, I owned a '95 993 RS, a 993 coupe, and a number of 964 c2's. I have had a number of 356's, as well as an '81 911 SC which I recently sold with 6,000 miles on clock.

Welcome back to the Porsche at its Peak.

I done a Posting showing the 911 Turbos though the years pictures etc so it takes a while to load.(The Legend 911 Turbo (part 1))

I feel the 965 C2T both 3.3 & 3.6 are the best all round of the 911 turbos.
The balance of keeping the most of the original features and the modern looks.

The later cars perhaps being too refined and lacking cklassic querks (993 & 996) I am probably biased as I bought the car i liked within a budget.

Still as we are on the 964 Turbo forum i feel we can induge ourselves in the beleif that our own cars are as good as it gets.

(I do openly say I would prefer the 3.6 to the 3.3 even though I own a 3.3 only because it had a bit more power and 18" wheels.)

Fundermentally they are still the same design car and as full of enjoyment of ownership.

I fully agree. Over the years I also have had many 911's , My prevous car was an 87 930 with a few mods. I thought this car was one of the most exciting cars to drive. That is until I got my present 94 3.6. WOW . What a magnificent piece of machinery. Mine has 20 k miles. mods ; ghl headers, B&B Muff and \wastgate pipe ,1 bar Spring. and custom overboost switch from Caroll Supercharging. This model seems to have all, Style, agilitty, power , comfort. And most Porsche nuts in our PCA chapter must agree They keep asking me If Iwant to sell.,But as you found out Where would I go. Besides what would life be like without a real Turbo??.
