High,
I was looking through some factory tech. bullitens today and came across a few pages that described a car that was a factory 3.6 turbo slant nose and could be ordered w/ a package called x88, which gave the normal 3.6 slant alot more power, there was a drawing what one of these cars would look like, I was wondering if anyone out there actually had one of these rarities, or had a picture so I could see a photo of one. thanx. and if u do have one i must say it must be one bitchin' car.

Go HERE (not 100% sure about this pic tho since wheels are not fully polished and tips are not OEM on car but in other respects, it serves as a good representation) AND HERE AND don't miss Mark's site at http://www.flachbau.com . X88 option offered about 385 hp. The Turbo 3.6 S was produced at the end of 1993 in flachbau as well as non-flachbau forms. The flachbau was considerably more expensive though both came with the X88 option.

The April 2001 Excellence featured such a car in a 5 Turbo comparison story. 911&Porsche World many years ago also did a story on a car with that engine option; they said cars thus equipped had quad exhausts. The photos in the Excellence story don't show the rear.

Man oh man....I saw them in person and my jaw dropped!!! What beautifull cars they are!
Now if only I could find the 100 big ones

Again the usual disclaimer: No affiliation blah blah blah...

Dragging this thread WAY back from the dead, simply to give Ran kudos for great links. Helped me out a bunch with researching the X85 and X88 options. Mark Smith has a terrific site here for the Turbo S Flatnose. http://www.flachbau.com/index.html
