Default My new ride!

Hey all,

A couple of weeks ago some of you gave me some advice on this 91 3.3 turbo. After weighing up my options I decided to buy it! I then had a 500 mile trip home and it made it trouble free. It does have some issues that need to be addressed, but right now im just happy to be a proud 911 owner. I went for a drive today and grabbed some photos, unfortunately by the time I stopped to take them the car was rather dirty so I apologize for the over contrasty images (trying to hide the dirt!)

When I bought the car I was told it had a RUF exhaust, but after having a good look under the car it looks like the standard exhaust with the side silencer muffler removed (although he did give it to me) which makes it sound like a fireworks show off throttle. I think it needs a good tune up as there seems to be a lot of hesitation when i give it full throttle

I have a very long shopping list already, mostly things to freshen it up, door seals and new guage glass etc. I will apologize in advance for all the newbie 911 questions I will be annoying you all with!

I shot some video today, nothing special as the motor defiantly needs a tune and service. I just wanted to find out if anyone else's exhaust sounds like this off throttle, is this because the side muffler has been replaced with pipe or is it running too rich?? If I give it a rev in neutral is will usually pop quite loudly. any thoughts??

Congrats Nathan I like the bumperette delete on the fog lights. Gives the front a cleaner look. Something I want to add to my shopping list. Your pictures look awesome by the way. Good health and happy motoring!

thanks for the kind words guys, I just gave my wallet anorexia ordering parts from Pelican, and that didnt include any upgrades except for a Rothsport short shift.

I had a mini heart attack yesterday when I took it for a drive and noticed the oil level guage was sitting in the red, but then it slowly started rising. Is it normal for the level come up slowly when the engine is cold? it took about 5 mins.

Yep, and it will only show if you are warmed up, at idle, and on a level surface..

Ok I thought so but was not sure if it was faulty.

Im going to shoot some video today, I need some expert opinion on the exhaust. Sounds like it is running too rich, I know its supposed to burble off throttle but the sounds it makes sounds like a pipe bomb going off!

I love those headlights Sharker, are you happy with them? thinking of ordering some. Need to find that front lip spoiler too but I think they are hard to come by, can't seem to find one online.
