Default Broken gauge

I was replacing the gauge faces and when I was pulling the needles off of the oil gauge and the pressure side was a little hard to pull out . When it did finally come out it came with the shaft. After I replaced the face and inserted the needle/shaft back into the gauge it no longer moves freely. It is not binding on anything that anyone can actually see so I am assuming its internal. Also it sits higher than its counterpart and I already pushed it in pretty hard and don't feel good about putting too much force on it. Any Insight or just leave it to the pros?

I dug a little deeper and this is a job for the pros. A special tool is needed I am guessing to remove the needle from the shaft and set it back in the actuator. Anyone finding this thread in a search just man up and send it to http://www.nhspeedometer.com/
