Default How to lose some weight on the Turbo 3.6

After my restoration project is done, now I am thinking how to make the car lose some weight. The stock is 1470kg and I am thinking about make it lose about 100kg.

Not necessary doable but think it is an interesting question to ask :-)

That's easy - get rid of the cat and replace the stock exhaust.

Just out of interest what is a 3.6T worth in HK? That's where all the good UK turbos seem to go!

Losing 100kg is not that easy. Couple of suggestions:

Remove cat and stock exhaust as Flachbau states. It weighs a ton.
Remove the rear seats
Remove rear seat belts
Remove trunk carpet
Remove carpet
Remove AC and AC lines
Remove rear wiper
Remove radio and speakers
Remove airbags
Remove dash knee pads
Remove the clock and relocate warning lights
Remove engine compartment sound proofing
Remove cigarette lighter and blank out the hole
Remove sun visors
Replace wheels with lighter weight wheels
Replace battery with Odyssey PC925 battery
Replace flywheel with light weight flywheel
Replace steering wheel with 930S steering wheel
Replace fog lights with "Cup" style brake ducts
Replace the OEM seats with light weight seats
Replace hood with carbon fiber hood
Replace door panels with RS door panels
Replace electric windows with manual crank
Replace electrical outside mirrors with manual (or just take the motors out)
Replace windshield washer bottle with 964 RS bottle (or just leave it empty)

If money is no object whatsoever, check this thread:
