Default New brake hoses needed - which ones are best?

My 964T just failed its MOT on rear brake hoses, but the front ones got an advisory as well.

Any advice on which ones are the best? Thanks, Josh

PS - I am based in the UK, and need something that can be ordered and arrive quickly.

Hi Josh,

Was planning on doing some PM with mine too, whilst changing the fluid. There's an ad in this months Evo (or was it Octane, or 911&PW...cant remember, but have got all 3 at home) that had some very nice hoses., flat rate irrespective of fittings needed, and they use stainless rather than plated.

I'll re-post when I get home/had a look. If I forget, by all means PM me

Stick with stock only because factory components are designed and manufactured to the highest durability standards.
Brake lines aren't components to skimp on or experiment with.....

I found these - which are Goodrich with stainless ends (rather than plated):

Otherwise Type911 seem to have the Porsche ones for £16 more for the set of 4:

Looking at the parts diagrams it seems that the rear hoses are the same for 964 & 965. But it shows a different part number for the front hose:
page 233 here: http://www.porsche.com/all/media/pdf...64_KATALOG.pdf

I dont suppose if anyone knows if there is a reason for a different part number? I know that sounds like a stupid question, but I was hoping to order the kit tonight and then spotted the part numbers...

An update, in case anyone is vaguely interested: the turbo does use different front brake hoses, and the official ones are twice the price of the C2/4/RS versions.

Type911 have now listed the stainless kit for the turbo (did it within 5 minutes of getting my email - good service!), which is the best value at £70 for all 4 (vs £156 for all 4 OEM).
