Hi guys,

here I´m back. The car has 51Kmls, 1 owner and the seller told me it`s 100% original paint.....
I didn´t see the car in person befor buying it only on photos the seller sent me and after what he told me on the phone....

From 10ft away it looked ok but the closer you go it´s getting horrible.

Now I get the car ready for a good friend of me and my dad who saw the car and totally fell in love with it. Although he doesn´t matter if the car is original paint or not. And therefor I´m looking for another one for my dad and me.

If someone is interested in pictures of my other cars, only tell me which one you want....

Boy that did look a bit tired! Nice colour though!

Did you not get it inspected? Do you mind if I ask what you paid for it?

I know it was really a big shock for us when we received it from the guy who comes from New Jersey.....

This was the first time we got such a bad car in 10 years....

Dino,

Did the car have a paint code sticker in the front inner wing saying it was Ferrari Yellow?. I'd be keen to see it as the paint looks very Speed Yellow to me (might just be the pics) but I wonder in the overspray job if they changed the colour

What's the fascination with original paint? Very few 20 year old Porsches will have it and if they do, chances are it won't look very good, especially if the car in question has been used regularly. The metallic colors are the worst as I'm told they are water based and state of the art for eco-friendly paints in the 90's wasn't what it is today.
IMO, yellow is a bad a$$ color and if I were going to the trouble of a re-paint, I'd be inclined to keep it.

I talked with that guy in Jersey about the yellow 3.6 months ago. The guy swore up and down that it was a perfect car. Liar, liar...

He did tell me the same and swore that the car is perfect.

Here´s a text from one of his thounds of e-mails he wrote me: "Dino,
I dont see anything in that picture,I never saw any bolts repainted anywhere on the car, when I check for paintwork on a car I look for the tapelinesthat the body shops leave, this car had no tapelines anywhere..it has a few rock chips on the hood and bumper thats about it,if I told you the car has 18k miles on it you would beleive it,
it also has every factory vin sticker on every panel including the back bumper that is usually gone on these cars ,car is all original."
