Advice on next car

If you are considering a Lambo(AUDI) you're not worth a Porsche
Good luck, but for me the choice would not be difficult, the lambo is too flashy.
And the Lambo is Italian so it probably will fall apart within a week.

wow, some of you guys are pretty butthurt that someone would move on.
he said only that the 965 LOOKED like a festiva compared to a murci, and I'd have to agree. Its very upright compared to the low sleek lambo.
The murci is an outrageous and beautiful car. Much bigger feeling vehicle and parts prices will make you cry.
If you can afford it though, thats the one to go with.

What year? How many miles? Maintenance routine?..meaning how often or many miles before servicing is needed? I love that car but I'm 6'2" and afraid it might be too small...what are they going for now? If you don't want to quote what you paid just give me a range of what I should expect to pay. How big are those wheels? Navigation system?
I ask because I am getting bored with my car and within the next year I will consider something else...leaning toward a 997 Turbo because while I love the Italian cars 430s, Gallardo..even a Quattroporte or Grand Tourismo my concerns are reliability first and foremost and then maintenance ...any insight would be appreciated

A good condition Gallardo is $100k+ and parts are double the cost of Porsche....yes you need deep pockets....but you will get constant attention and compliments in the factor of 20x the Porsche........and it is the best driving experience ever!...reliability is excellent remember this car is AUDI designed with an Italian suit

There's another associated cost with italian exotics. If you put miles on these cars, they de-value much more quickly than a Porsche would. Not putting miles on your car "is like not having sex with your girlfriend so that she will be more desirable to her next boyfriend" (Glickenhaus). So, in order to enjoy the driving experience you must own a few Lambos and Ferraris so you can rotate the usage.

I've had the car for 4+ years and love it but weighing the pros and cons of getting something more modern like a 997 Turbo.
My biggest concern is depreciation acceleration as the next gen 911 is right around the corner and anybody in this forum is savvy enough to know the story there...just look at the 996 Turbos and their worth...the same thing will happen with the 997 Turbo...so I think I just weight on the sidelines and see how low they go over the next 24 months...
in 24 months the economy will be better and I also might see some appreciation or increased value and interest in 3.3 Turbos while depreciation takes it's toll on 997 Turbos...then I might pull the trigger...time will tell...
