Default Sudden cut-off

I am experiencing (fuel?) cut-offs @ 4-4,5k rpm at any gear. I've read about possible cut-off switch failure with that symptoms. Any other thougths?

Car is stock 3.3L. The last job was fuel acc. replacement few weeks ago (IC removed if that means something).

Regards,
Troky

Well, when I purchased my car, the boost and cut-off switch connectors were swapped. There is also a ground around this area. If the intercooler was removed they certainly had to disconnect all this. Also, if this is at WOT, maybe the wastegate control pressure hose was left disconnected or loose, so you may be overboosting and the cut-off switch is doing it's job.

Yes, that happens at WOT.
I will reassemble IC tomorrow and check all connections (cables and hoses).

Zdravo turboholic,

Yes, I had warm start problems. I had big trouble starting car if engine was off for 0,5-3h. Now I don't have any start problems.

I had this exact same problem - it was caused by the boost gauge sender unit having partially stripped its thread in the intercooler. It's so common there's even a Porsche Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) on it!

"General Information: The threads in the intercooler for the boost gauge sending unit can be damaged through over torquing or cross threading. To eliminate high repair costs, the damaged threads should be repaired using a helicoil.
Repair Information: If repair to the threads of the intercooler is necessary, the correct helicoil to use is 10x1~10T. The helicoil is installed with normal helicoil tools. If the boost gauge sending unit is removed, cut away the captive sealing washer and install a softer version, Part Number 900 123 144 30. The tightening torque of the sending unit remains at 12 Nm (8.6 ft.lbs.)"

Update:

It seems that cleaning switch connector with contact spray fixed the problem. No more cut-offs.
