40K miles on iit and it looked brand new. That is a serious looking vehicle there boys. I was surprised that I have never seen one in person and the first thing to strike me was the degree that the headlights are down. I didn't realize just how much they are flattened. The car looked great and man oh man did it sound good.
How many were produced?

From flachbau.com:
"A later Porsche memorandum dated November 30, 1994, definitively confirms worldwide production as 93 total cars consisting of 76 Flatnose cars (10 total Version I X83 Japan cars with 'old style Turbo nose and air scoops'; 27 total Version II X84 Rest of World cars; and 39 total Version III X85 U.S.A. cars), and 17 U.S.A. only Version Package cars. "
And also:
"The cars were to be produced in October and early November 1993"

That's a 3.3 S I believe. Completely different beast to the 3.6 S - supposedly a very fast, very raw, lightweight deriviative of the 964 Turbo; much more like a 'Turbo RS', or, I guess, the later designated GT2 models. There are even fewer 3.3 S models than the 3.6 S IIRC.

I am lucky enough to own one of the 80 (or 81) Lightweights produced, and I agree with the view that it is basically a RS with a tuned turbo motor, in a turbo wide body (although many parts changed to lighter weight materials). The recently launched 997 GT2 RS, also limited production, seems to be going back to that same concept, after Porsche took the "Turbo S" concept to a very powerful, but luxurious, car.

Yes it would be nice if we got the ROW 3.3 turbo S here but as far as the 94 turbo S's go i would prefer the package car over the flachbau myself. The 968 headlights look good for a slope nose car. Never was fond of the 930 slopes but there is a bulge in the fenders that makes the 94 turbo S more appealing IMO.
What I love more about the 3.6TS is the tail. It is IMO the best looking of all the single piece tails used. The fit, quality and styling is amazing.
