I promise to offer it back to you guys if I sell it!

The red car does look a treat and is approximately £56,000 at the current exchange rate. I'd have no issue paying that for a good car, especially one with the X88 option (as long as it was fitted from new, rather than added after).

Do you know this car?

I wonder if we get stung for the Duty (10%) and VAT (17.5%) on cars coming in from NZ?

Pretty sure the red car has been owned by a string of fanatics. One of them paid GBP 4,000 to reseal the engine because he didn't like oil spots on the garage floor. The Midnight Blue car was in a major accident at an early date and has had a number of less fussy owners. We pay GBP 2,250 to ship from blighty to NZ and pay 12.5% in duty. No idea what you would be up for the other way. Keep an eye out.

I remember buying my 3.3 a couple of years ago and there were a few UK 3.6 cars up for sale, I remember a good looking one for around £36000... I just couldn't quite stretch to it and went for a 3.3 instead. I thought the premium for the 3.6 over the 3.3 was significant then, now it's just ridiculous!

Still love one though

I personally don't believe that a good 3.6 is actually worth nearly twice what a good 3.3 is; however, the market has taken the price that way and I've always wanted a 3.6, so that is what I'll hold out for.

That said, if I owned a nice 3.3, I don't think I'd be in a rush to change to a 3.6 because I can't imagine there is that much of a difference in performance/handling.

Probably not a lot that you could sensibly extract on our UK roads, anyway!

IIRC you would have to pay 10% import tax and 17.5% VAT on the price of the car, the shipping cost, and the import duty! I would estimate the shipping cost to be circa 3k! Which would put the red car in the 75k area!

A couple of tweaks to a 3.3 and your`ve got more power than a 3.6T anyway. A lot more tweaks and your`ve got a 600hp+ beast like James.

Light colours work well in climates with sun. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IUuOi...=youtube_gdata BTW that was my father driving so I've got a few more years of driving this car ahead of me; I just need to be in the same country.

Just a quick note to say that I'm still looking for a nice RHD 3.6 Turbo
