Default Caliper decals

After more than six months in the garage it looks like the car might be hitting the road again fairly soon!

I've got a few things that I want to tidy up though - including the calipers. I've got the standard 3.3 'Medium' blacks on the car, and they're looking quite bad with big flakes of paint gone here and there, and most of them with at least some part of the 'Porsche' lettering missing!

Sooo... I'm going to repaint them this weekend (in black again), but what's the best way of getting the lettering back on? Surely stickers will melt?

It's been a fantastic dry sunny day here in Cheshire, very Spring like!! I was soooo tempted to uncover the old gal and take her for a gentle run to blow the winter cob-webs away but never got further than starting her up and letting her warm through in the garage!!

As far as the calipers go, do an internet search, theres loads to choose from on flee-bay etc. Yes they are transfers and I think (but may be wrong), that you apply the lettering onto the painted caliper, and then finish with a couple of coats of clear laquer?!

Show us some before and after shots please...........

Yeah, lovely day up here in Durham.. a bit cold, but dry and sunny... wish I had the car!

Been driving a diesel Alfa Romeo for the best part of a year - I've now had enough sensible motoring to last a lifetime; I'm determined that the Porsche is getting back on the road and to get more miles out of it from now on. I'm also going to sell the Alfa to fund the last bits of work on my mk1 Escort... which will then become my daily driver

I've used both decals and stencils but I prefer the stencils.
