Hi will measure the bolt when i get home tonight or in the morning, since i have my engine out. I do know that standard 964 mounts will not work because the bolts were too short.

No, i bought some aftermarket mounts on Ebay. They dont have the liquid inside and they work really well so far, have used them for about 3000 miles.
I think i bought them from these guys only they were 964 turbo mounts, the 993turbo mounts may work as well though.

Been thinking about using the Wevo with black rubber on mine. I read somewhere it's softer than the set with blue rubber so you have less vibes.

I bought standard 964 RS mounts and yes the standard RS bolts are too short.
Believe the standard RS bolts are 10.5 cm, I use 12cm bolts.

I had no noise but found that I hade trouble shifting to third gear in some corners.

I couldn't tell it was shot by looking at it, but when I shaked it sounded like a pack of milk.

I had the same problem as Steffan with shifting, and opted for stock MM in my TT.
I can tell you that the difference in the ride/shift was a lot better. Mine were absolutley knackered and were floppy and generally stuffed.
Big difference for a few hundy anyway.

Ro - what did you go with in the end? I need to change the engine mounts on my 3.3T. There are loads of threads on the 964 forum that suggest using 993 mounts, or RS mounts, but I'm not sure what works best in our cars. My car is mostly a cruiser for long road journeys - if anyone can suggest the best mount for that use I would be very grateful. Thanks, Josh

I just spoke to GT-One (UK indy) and they can either supply 965 mounts for c.£250 each, or 993 mounts for £110 each. They advised to fit the 993 mounts in view of the price and told me that they fit 993 mounts to most of the 964's they see. They quoted 1hr labour to fit. So fit & supply 2 engine mounts = c.£280.

The most pleasing thing about speaking to GT-One is that they quoted all prices inclusive of VAT! Finally someone sees sense!

Just remember the 964 turbo mount has a longer bolt than a standard 964, hopefully that company already knows that.

Thanks Gerry - I will check that with them before I drop my car off. Does this mean that you know the 993 mount doesn't fit? Or are you just mentioning it because there is a chance it might not fit? I think I saw a post on here where Hawk fitted 993 mounts.

No wagon....i dont know if 993's fit or not i was just mentioning it so that your aware of the longer bolt on the turbo vs normally aspirated. I posted above my bolt length so just make sure whatever you buy has that and you should be ok.
