Hi,

I am looking to buy a 964 turbo located in the Chicago Hinsdale area. Can someone recommend a good resaonable thorough mechanic in this area that knows these cars? I live in Florida so I need someone reasonable and trustworthy that can give me a professional opinion of the car.

He used to be a Ruf dealer for a number of years. I have used him to both build and service cars for me since approx 1992. Give him a call; I'm sure he can either help or give you some ideas.

Also consider Fischer Motors in Barrington- 847-304-8822.

There is also a Porsche dealership in Westmont, just one town west of Hinsdale. Don't PPI the car at Eurosport in Bennsenville.

 

Really, don't use Eurosport in Bennsenville? I had heard so much about them. Why is that? Are they a rip off?

 

In my opinion, they are too geared for race set-ups. They are very knowledgeable, though. And, I think the place is very dirty. I would not want one of my cars there. I'd be affraid of getting a door-ding or a car returned with a grease smudged interior.

Perfect Power and Fisher are so much better choices IMHO.
