Almost 2 weeks with the car and just 200 miles so far. Basically no maintenance had been done for a while so all fluids are changed, new tires(of course now I want 18" Speedlines?), alignment, one heater fan replaced and new motor mounts(so the engine doesn't sound like its falling out of the car!), and new belts. So now it's ready for its first road trip to TWS vintage racing in 2 weekends.
Last Saturdays Cars and Coffee got my old and new car side by side. A lot of fun showing off the new car. Amazing how much growl a 3.6 puts out with, big cams, no cat and Fabspeed compared to the new car with a cat and no muffler. The cat may have to go.
The car runs great although mods are coming. Real slow off the line compared to my hot rod 964 but once the boost is on it feels GREAT! Plenty of winter projects and want to know if anyone has done NA trailing arms for deeper wheels on the 965? I don't think it screws up handling since Porsche did it on other models? Thanks Guys!

Removing the cat will help off line acceleration. The turbos are slow from 0-20 compared to the n/a 964's my C2 will jump long before the turbo but once boost kicks in there is no comparison.
yes I know of several turbos with N/A trailing arms and they handle amazingly well. The massive rear arms on the turbo were a mistake IMO.

Your car looks great. I actually saw it at the car show. I recently picked up a 85 turbo body and had it at the show as well. Go to the 911 Forum and look for the "New Carrera in the Family" subject line. Should be on page 1. I had a lot of lookers until the Yellow Carrera GT parked in front of me and stole my thunder.
