That car Sold, I talked to the owner on Sunday.

I am toying with the idea of buying a 964 and the protomotive turbo kit from "the other eric" and Building a narrow body RUF turbo car like LA964RS car, I am staring to lean that way but I change my mind everyday. Lol

John Wittmer at AIC in Pennsylvania has a black '91 that's been up for sale for a few months.

He's listing it at 42K, but maybe he'd be willing to deal.

AIC tends to be a little pricey with thier offerings.. $42k for a 91 is pushing it.. unless you're saying it's a 965?

LA964RS' car is using a 993TT motor+

It is a 91 turbo although with 65kmiles I would agree he is a bit high on the price.
Might be worth a look.

I like his comment.

Car & Driver, sums it up best in their 1990 review, saying,"Owning a 965 turbo is like having your very own pet gorilla!.... Leash not included!"

Yeah that 993tt would be expensive , I would add a turbo on a 964, change the pistons and be happy....at least for awhile

Well in Europe 964 Turbos are geting more exp by the day...
3 years ago the market was cold as a dead fish now prices are really going so hurry up

The good thing about buying a turbo instead of kitting a 964 is that it will work from day 1. These kind of conversion always take more time than expected.

Interesting as the market here is stag.. more and more cars starting to filter in with fewer and fewer buyers stepping to the plate.

Seeing as how our economy hasn't really recovered I guess that is no surprise.

One of the first things I look at in Pano is the Cars for Sale section. Very seldom would a 91,92 or 94 turbo come up for sale. During the past couple of months I have seen a few pop up. I think now would be a great time to buy one, I am sure the prices are some what depressed due to the economy. Couple that with someone that exceeded their means to get one a couple of years ago, so now they have to sell, one would think you could get a pretty good deal.

With that being said, I think the museum type cars are still going to command a premium, mainly becuase most of their owners don't "need" to sell.

My '92 started out as a 30K mile car, its got 52K on it now, and I plan on continuing to drive it. I'll let someone else polish their's with a diaper.

Must admit it's really strange in Europe. Can't say we are doing much better but yeah consumers have less leverage on average.

GT3s are not really moving for ex or at low prices. Probably close to the bottom for these now and unless the stock market collapses next spring should see more transactions.
But the 964s RS and Turbo are going strong. Prices are up at least, not sure if they really move all that much ! 993TT have rocketed as well. 3 years ago no one wanted them. Overall I expect the high announced prices will attract some sellers and things will stabilise.

About time people recognise our turbos for what they are ! The last rear wheel drive beast. No one will ever make a car that raw and robust.
