I have been chasing an occasional power drain on my car since I purchased her in 2000. Over the course of a new interior, stereo, seats, and numerous engine out activites, its never been found. I was detailing the car today (getting ready to take her up to Petit at Road Atlanta), and nudged the power window button, and the window moved. Key was not even in the car... So question for the forum, do your power windows work when your car is completely off? I was looking over all of my service records, and one of the PPI "to-do's" was a power window motor on the drivers side, which was completed in 2000. So I am hoping this may be the issue. Anyones verification would be a big help.

I have the same issue.....I have to disconnect the battery before leaving the car parked more than 3 days...one of my mechanics was unable to find the issue thinking it was the door switch...

powerwindows will work when the door is open even if the car is shut off, this is normal.

A power drain can be caused by a fault at the rear of the cabin control unit, at least that's what one of my garages told me and charged me for. It fixed it.

thanks for the feedback. I will try the cabin unit next time she is in the shop... Mark, I will shoot you a note if it works.
