I have a spare 3.6 unit. I wonder what would happen if you swapped them.

hi,

as far as i´ve been told the firing angle of the 3.6 unit is more gentle and would cause noticeable reduce of output used in a 3.3. engine.
we´ve just got an other option (repair), but not sure whether it`s possible.

would like to put it on hold on so far.

thanks, fritz

I have always wondered if any of our guru's like Geoffrey, Stephen or Kevin could fix one these units. I am curious to know what goes wrong with them?

the housing of the EZ69 is backfilled with resin, so your normaly can´t fix it.

althought, we have found a shop who promised to fix it. they have a few years of experience with similar units for mercedes cars.

we´ll see.

tomorrow they will return the unit, repair seems to be succesful.

according to the technician they have replaced the triggering of the ignition coils, charge is 300€ plus tax.

will give an update if the unit is fitted and tested.

thanks so far for your offers,

fritz
