any local parts dept. should have a little kit with all of the various adpt. that you could possiably need.I had to purchace them when I put 134a in my 92. From 93 up they had 134 from factory, as 92 was last year Porsche used R 12.

Did you check to see if the fitting can unscrew.. With the kits they come with so many fitting that they may have left the filling fitting on.. Like al 965 just goto the auto part store and buy the kit under $20.I have found so many left tools in my engine bay from dealers even the ac pressure filling hose from mercedes.
Oh for a note they may have filled your system using the old r-12 filler (tool) and never converted the fittings..

arrrgh, just found out the female receiving nut (part of the hose itself) is cracked.
Time to replace the whole hose.
Please tell me this doesn't require engine removal.

Which hose do you have to replace fuller, im a little confused as to what you mean by receiving nut???
If you have to replace an air conditioning hose from the compressor you would have to remove the intercooler and the airbox then you can unclamp it from the fire wall. You would then have to go into the left rear wheel well and unscrew the hose from another hose. I had a heck of a time getting my hoses back in even with the engine out and i was sitting right inside the engine compartment with nothing in my way, you have to get them to go through this rubber seal in the left wheel well and it would be tough to do from over the top of the engine, it may be do-able but its not gonna be easy. If i remember correctly those hoses were priced at about 250 dollars a piece.

As stated above all Porsche's from 1993 on came with R134a from the factory. My 93 C2, 93 GTS and 94 turbo all have R134a. What conversion was done to your car?

If your talking about the connector to charge the system it should be a quick disconnect instead of a thread type as used on the older R12 systems.

I stand corrected, I assumed my car had been updated to R134a, but that's not the case.
I simply have a cracked fitting and need to replace this hose...I don't have a PET list, anybody know the exact part #?

Is that reciever nut directly connected to the metal hose connection??? My hoses do not have that. Do both of your hoses have that quick connect fitting on them????? I found in pet what i think may be your hoses with those valves attached directly to the metal portion.

Intake Line...........965 573 099 02 ( i belive this is the one you need, Foreward line )
Refrigerant Line....965 573 097 02 ( Aft line)
Valve...................993 573 445 00 ( this is the valve part for the forward line )
Im not 100% sure of this is right so anyone else wanna confirm it??? The Hoses are under the body section in PET.

Porsche's are easy to work on once you get used to them. Try BMW's and see how frustrating they can be.

BTW the Shelby is a beauty. I saw one just like that back in the 80's one of my favorite color combos. Most I see are orange.
