Thanks again in advance.

That is not a "row" car and there is a lot of things in the add that don't sound right, including price. The seats are even standard leather, and not the premum leather. There is no way that car was $130,000.00 in 92. Lets see the leter of auth. Yhere is no stitching on dash like the leather dash cars has.

Yup. That was what I was thinking too...
Alot of it sounds like hog wash to me.
This was paraphased from his Ebay ad:

"This is an extremely rare, factory race modified 911/965 Turbo wide body Porche. It is silver in color with blue leather interior. This fine vehicle has variable turbo boost control from inside the cabin, oversized turbo charger, oversized brakes and calipers, large diameter exhaust, new tires, and is one of only thirty five sold in Canada. I have had it inspected by a reputable porche repair shop. They explained to me that this is in-deed a rare car, and one of the best they have ever seen. The 500+ horsepower that it will produce is incredible and the car runs perfect. It is as though it came right off the dealer showroom floor! This particular car was originally purchased in New York and the original dealer sheet ( which I have) shows a selling price of $130,000.00 US. If you are not serious don't bid! If you are one who knows of this model, you will not be dissappointed!"

*** If it was originally purchased in NY, then how is it 1 of 35 sold in Canada?
*** Will they modify the car straight from the factory?

This was the response that I got asking for more details on his car.

"I have owned this car since last March. It has had many mods done at the OEM It is totally original and has only 23000 miles on the odometer. It has never been wrecked and I have had it inspected by the local porche shop and they say it is awsome! It has had some paint work done due to stone bruising on the rocker cladding. The hood and front bumper have been done as well. The previous owner lived in Calgary and they have a fair bit of gravel on the roads. I am selling the car because it is not worth having it in Edmonton. The roads are crappy and I do not want to beat thbis thing to death. Since May of last year I have only driven it approximately 600 miles."

*** That said, question is.... how much would you pay for this vehicle
considering that the PPI & leakdown comes back clean...

It is a good looking car and if CAR FAX checked with the low milage and someone repair the bent smile in front it would probably be a high $40,000.00 car to the right buyer. To beleive the hp stated with cis would not be realistic. I would have to see the dyno sheet.

Beautiful car! But as rare as any other 3.3 turbo!! There is no such thing as factory modified turbo.

As to the 500+ hp, more like 450hp max. which is still decent, but those two statements are enough to cut down by 50% anything that you are being told about it to be realistic

Not sure that will mean much. A dyno chart is easier to get than posting an ad on Ebay and claiming that HP IMO.

I think that this car was sold to the current owner by a shop in Calgary, Alberta Canada. Here's the link:

You could probably contact the dealer to find out more about the car.

I emailed the guy on eBay to try to clear up a few details. His response indicated that English isn't his first language and that he knows very little about cars. There's nothing wrong with either of those things, but it could make getting any meaningful info from the seller difficult. I emailed again to try to make my questions more clear, regarding the hp, fuel system, exhaust and turbo/boost controller on the car - I haven't heard back yet.

I may have thrown him off by sending him the link to the 964 wiki page that shows that 3.3 turbos came from the factory with 320hp and that over 3,600 were made.

Guys help me out here. I've been staring at the front of this car and can't seem to find the "smile" flaw you speak of. Are you looking at the lower valence below the front bumper? I see a bit of curvature to the one vent edge however thought perhaps it was just lens distortion.
Reason I ask, I live in Calgary and may buzz up to have a look at it (via a highway which is a heck of a lot better than most in this fine country).
