Recommend UK dealers
For those living in the UK, can you recommend a reputable UK dealership that sells second-hand Porsches. I am interested in purchasing an 80's era 911 coupe and ship to Hong kong where I reside. Since I live outside UK, your comments regarding the reputation and honesty of the dealers you are recommending are invaluable to me. Thanks.

GT9, I have no affiliation etc although personally purchased my 964 Turbo from the following http://www.northwayporsche.co.uk/default.asp I was more than pleased with their efforts to help me with my purchase, particulalry as like you I do not live in the UK.
They have a very good reputation and are knowledgeable about these cars. They also carry out full servicing etc.
Ray Northway is the owner, although I dealt with a number of his team as well. I made lots of phone calls, emails and even got experts to talk to them, each time they were happy to help. I would have no hesitation in buying from them again, particulalry as I am very pleased with my purchase, exactly as they advertised.
I could quote other sources although not having direct expirience will leave it at Northways and let others chime in with feedback. You could also use the services of the likes of http://www.petermorgan.org.uk/ They have a very good name, in fact one of them helped me purchase mine.

You can buy anything from Northways with complete confidence, Ray will be as blunt about the cars he has as anyone walking off the street, i've known them all for years and they are a very good bunch, totally trustworthy.
Can't vouch for any other car dealer, sorry.
One of the good things about Northways is they are first and foremost a servicing and engine rebuilding garage, if Ray buys a car with issues he will put them all right before it's sold, plain and simple. He doesn't buy cars, mask the problem and shift them on hoping they won't come back to haunt him.
