Turbo Oil line update.....
Hey guys i have finished making the turbo oil line. I went to AeroQuip which is a really cool hose and fitting company. The line is good to 1000 PSI and up to around 400 degrees F. Also the hose manufacturing company claims the hose is good for oil, fuel and other fluids. Well see.............
Heres the bad news for anyone who needs to replace that oil line. I could not find a way to remove the old line without cutting it or removing the Intake manifold. I could be wrong but i could not see a way after trying several ways to get it out, so that means there would be no way to get a new one in without removing the intake manifold and that may require removing the fuel injection system too im not sure. The other bad news is that the rubber portion of the line was totally shot... i flexed it a few times and it made a cracking noise then developed several cracks in the rubber. So i would assume those lines have reached their useful life.
If my turbo blows up after a few miles.... we'll all learn that this is not the way to go... if it continues to work then you could try this method if you ever have to. The inner diameter of this line is the same as the original so i believe this will work ok.
