Is anyone able to tell me how much sound difference there is between a sports cat (100 cell) and a cat delete?

I assume the sports cat provides some muffling?

I'm intending to run the following, not sure whether the swans neck will make it too loud -

B&B deaders
Scart 100 cell sports cat
Scart swans neck
Scart wastegate bypass

IMHO not enough to worry about. Ditch the cat.

 

Hi Matt,

I already have the G pipe with standard headers and am removing the cat this weekend to fit a 200 cell sport cat, along with the wastegate bypass pipe. I've already posted a before version of the exhaust note at idle on youtube, and will do the same for the after effects. I'll post a link after the weekend.

My car is going in next Monday for 100 cell cat, WG cat delete and i plan on still using the G pipe swans neck whatever. I will post when I get it back.

Re the earlier post, I cant cat delete as I'm in CA and need to smog test. Most ppl tell me that provided the car passes the sniff test they arent fussy about the visual inspection. 100 cell cat is meant to pass provided its very hot. Worst case scenario I will put the cat back on every 2yrs for the test

I purchased a Dansk 100cell cat for a C2 and we are modifying it to fit. The cat was about $600 and the mods should run another $200. This is a bit cheaper than the Scart unit at over 600 pounds.
