Hi James

Sorry can't make the 15th as the garage still have my car

Tried them to get them to finish it for next week but they won't commit. Very frustrating but i'll have to miss out on it.

I book for the afternoon rather than the morning session.

Sparks/ Mark,
You should come, bring the F355, vmax is safer and better on the car than a track day.
ps: great to meet you today, thanks for the passenger lap.

James,
What time is the booking now?

Sorry James but I won't be coming. Neither of my cars are really suitable for straight line top speeds. The 3.2 is gutless and my 930 would run out of revs at 160-165 or so anyway.

I was only interested in doing the twisty circuit I found on google maps for some fun in the 3.2 carrera. I take it there isn't one?

Would be nice to meet you chaps though sometime. I wanted to do the trackday but when the insurance co. got back to me with a quote the event was fully booked

Don't understand how the track day was fully booked Nathan, two of my mates showed up on the day with no problems? You should come to Brunters, I wouldn't worry about the power/speed of your car it's not a **** measuring contest! If only to nose around James car and the two RS 993tt's

Sparks/Mark
Didn't realise you were on here, nice to meet you at the track, you should take the fezza up if your pork isn't ready, opportunities for small/private sessions up at Brunters don't come around often

James, good work booking the afternoon, I hate getting up early on a weekend!
How is the car now with a few more miles on it, any less intimidating?
Anyone taking a laptop or such so we can look at the AX22 data?

Car is quick, bloody quick, looks the same mind, except for a boost control switch giving 0.1 bar increments up to 1.2 bar. I'll bring my lap top its abit **** but should be ok. As for times I think if we aim to meet just through the front gates at 11am, should give us enough track time before it gets dark.

Jonathan, the website said it was fully booked so I didn't bother to phone them.

I have a cold now, I'll see how I feel later in the week.

James
What is the latest you can cancel without financial forfeit ?
Ideally we could do with checking the night before - damp is OK but rain means no grip up to 4th gear and the point of the excercise for us is doing some acceleration measurement.

Hi Mark / John

Good to meet you two

It was a fun day and impressed with your car Mark keeping pace with the GT3 on the passenger lap.

Was taking it easy on the car just having some fun. Would be different in a 965 but think i'll dont think I'll make it in the 355!

Cheers
Mark

Cheers Mark.
TB993TT, I'd have thought we have to commit in advance. None of us have any control over the weather. Personally, if its wet I'll enjoy testing the handling on such a nice wide runway - should be fun either way.

James, can you give us more details? Do we have some exclusive time for our group or are we sharing the track with others? If sharing, how will this work?

Have been driving in Germany quite a lot over the last few months so I am not really in need of high speed fix (particularly in the wet)
I want to run some acceleration data.....
I want to know what is the minimum notice needed (if the period has been and gone I will obviously stand on £, but I won't be there if its wet)

The forecast next Saturday is currently looking good with high pressure and dry

I've confirmed numbers but paid nothing. I guess people could drop out if they wish, it'd just make me look a bit stupid and may effect what other pay. I think we are all hoping for dry weather.

Can you ask the question - I realise your arrangement with the owner is somewhat informal but the owner must have some kind of framework for "drop-outs" ?

Edit:
Have you tried driving much over 120mph in the sort of wind and rain that we have been getting ? - It is plain dangerous
