Default Brakes are spongy, ABS and wear lights on

I just got my 3.3 back together after bleeding the brakes and painting the calipers. The ABS and wear lights are on. I could have put the wear connectors in backwards. Would that cause the wear light?
On the fronts, it's also possible that I reversed the ABS and wear connectors. Which way is correct?

Also, brakes are very spongy. Did I just not get all of the air out of the system? I didn't see any bubbles, but didn't drain 200ml out of each one either.

Thanks for any help.

BTW: results of DIY caliper painting were pretty disappointing. Next time, I'll send them somewhere to be sprayed.

Sounds like air or rotten hoses
Did you bleed the acumulator? with key on.
Change brake lines to steel ?
Abs light could be the connectors not tight or air in the pump.
the wear sensors light when the circut is open or grounded check to see if plugged in properly. see if touching metal .
Good luck
Elliot

I replaced the old lines with steel.
I did bleed the accumulator but maybe not enough. I followed Adrian's procedure.

Also, brake warning alarm goes on for about 5 seconds, then goes away. What does this mean?

Clutch bleed was much easier than expected. It's really not that hard to reach up there.

I bled them some more and found a loose ABS and brake wear connector on the front. Now it's great.

are these connectors fragile or can they be wiggled about a bit without risk of breaking them? My abs warning light comes on frequently although not always. When it's on it stays on until you switch off and restart.

The connectors into the cylinder thingy seems really tough. The wear sensors seemed pretty tough too as I was pretty rough with them accidentally and they still work fine. You gotta really force them good into the cylinder.

The rears are mounted on the trailing arm. The fronts are on the shocks. I guess it's a toss-up on which one gets more abuse.
