Thinking about selling
Alright I know that I'm going to catch a lot of flack for this, but I am thinking about selling my car. Do not get me wrong, I love this car and it has been one of the best cars and if not the best sports car I have ever owned. The only thing is that I hate putting miles on this car and it pains me everytime I do. Speaking my mind this weekend and voicing my concerns to my brother did not help. But I do have to admit he is right, I am not a collector and am a driver and do need something to satisfy my needs on a weekend basis. Some I know on this forum have the means to own several high end Porsches at one time, unfortunatley I do not. Somebody please put me out of my misery.

Signal Green 94 3.6T. Excellent condition, celebrity owned. Truely a collectors car. Don't know the numbers, but probably the only Signal Green 94 3.6T in the US maybe the world. Has roughly 21,500 on the clock

Good luck in whatever you decide. But that is the reason I bought a higher mileage car with mods, so I can enjoy without stressing out about the miles. Now if I could afford a nice 3.6 S also...........

Keep the car. It's a unique color with interesting history and it makes you happy. Put a clear bra on the front (if you haven't already) and drive the thing. Life is too short.

What's wrong with driving it regularly. Enjoy it. F*** the mileage!
Even with higher miles the depreciation will be much lower than almost any other car.
...and did you buy the cat as an investment or as a sports car? If the former, sell it....

BTW - at the current exchange rate, your car would be worth a fortune in Europe right now.

I fall into this trap sometimes as well but after a bit of worrying decided that putting up to 5k miles a year on the car wouldnt be a problem.I am happy to use it just for pleasure.Of more concern to me is the anti-car policies of the UK government! With speed cameras everywhere i may end up buying a track day toy instead.Enjoy your car while you still have cheap fuel and good roads!

Thats a tough one Mike, i kind of understand how you feel, what are your alternatives???
Personally i would drive it and enjoy it and maybe take it to porsche meets since its so rare.

If you didn't pay top dollar for your car and can continue driving it w/ minimal loss due to mileage, then keep it and use it as a driver. If you did pay top dollar and are freaking over the mileage induced depreciation, sell it and buy a higher mileage car and drive the hell out of it.
Though I think you'll find you would have lost more money on keeping and driving your 997S than your current 1994 3.6.
