Hi Guys fitted the gauge last night, WOW when you switch on, the lights for the AFR and EGT do a sweep of the gauge, very sexy, its hard to get a good shot and i had to use my phone as my camera was flat ! haven't fitted the AFR or the EGT sensors yet but here it is in mt dash !
egt measures the exhaust gas temp gauge if this gets to high your in risk of detonation and melting the pistons, can happen if running to much boost and not enough fuel
boost gauge is just t pieced into the vacum line
Yip possible chrimbo tree but i have it to stop a melt down, you can change the digital read out between clock, boost,EGT,AFR and back to clock, the boost is taken from a new sensor as is the EGT and the AFR, as i have changed to EFI the spare pipe that feeds the ez69 bit!! makes a good boost point so I'm in there:-) Hell WHO has a gauge swings loads of useful lights as we power up !!! all a bit cool for a 90's car
Kicking and Screaming to the present Day ............ here it take two lanes to keep it in a straight line a 169 so its all worth it ;-)
yip still happy, welded two stainless steel bosses to the exhaust system, i'll get some pics, the AFR is running roughly the same as the one my AEM uses, my car hasn't been mapped as yet so no sure if my EGT is working it only kicks off at 400 F, my only problem was the wiring was to short for a right hand drive car so some careful wiring was needed !
Here's my 94 Speedster converted to 965 with it's Boost gauge and clock relocation. First photo was at it's sale. Grinding my teeth thinking about that car.
