Boeing 717

Hi guys i ordered a new front rubber smile (seal) that goes between the front bumper and hood. I dont have a pic but i was wondering, is the hood supposed to sit on top of the seal and press it down or does the back half of the seal lay on top of the hood??? I got it from sunset for 121.00 dollars by the way...everyone else wanted 195.00 or more.
