Default Concourse Prep

Does anyone here take their car out to get it dirty on purpose (more inadvertently at the track) and then enter it in concourse shows? I have been working on cleaning the car up over the last couple of weeknights and man it's a bear.

What do you guys use to degrease the engine bay? I am really paranoid about this area and I use windex de-greaser and compressed air. But it sure was trying at times to free up the grime...

I think the car is in good shape for the show, but wow I envy you guys who keep your cars clean all of the time...

I find Simple Green works well. I typicaly spray and wipe with cloths to avoid water issues. Remember if you use Armorall on the rubber and plastic and then drive to the venue it will pick up dust and grime that can cost you points. Leave the last minute detail until you park at the event.

Drew,

I use simple green like Maverick. But I also use a steamer on some parts. On some of the metal parts that get grimey I like the P21S metal polish. This stuff works great.
