Two of my favorite cars!! Scene would have been better with less "human" inter-acting?! Let the real star have more screen time!

Did that contact between the two cars in the clip actually happen to your car or was that some movie magic?

My car was only used in certain shots.........it was never damaged in any way.

This has been discussed and debated many times, I've even read on other sites
how the car was totally trashed. There were a couple of cars and even pieces of
cars without glass to get some shots.

The car was owned by Michael Bay and was his personal car. If you have a newer
DVD go to the directors commentary and he explains everything and even says
" Hey that's the car from the movie , maybe it will be worth something someday. "

Sometimes I think I can still smell Tea Leioni"s perfume in it ( just kidding )

LOL

Mike, I am assuming your tach looks like the rest of ours? The tach that they show when he brings it up to 7000 rpm does not have a redline. Must have been one of the prop cars.

Do you ever get the urge to race an airplane down the runway?

I admit I still watch the movie once or twice a year when I am home alone. To graphic fr my son yet and my wife hates car movies.

Although the best car chase scene is still from the movie The Seven Ups or the craziest was gone in 60 seconds the original. Glad they didn't use any Porsche's in those movies.

I have the same issue. My wife could care less, and my son is still too young to watch Bad Boys...

I tend to watch "Porsche" movies like Bad Boys during the long winter months when I can't drive my 911s for that quick fix... I just LOVE that black 964 Turbo. it is just so damn good looking!

I'm jealous of you guys... And now Frayed wants to join your club... It is lonely on the 996 GT3 boards lately!

Which was the movie where - I think it was Ice Cube - nearly falls out of a 3.6 turbo going around a corner? Was that the Gone in 60 Seconds remake w/ Nick Cage?

If you look very closely and pause it you will see that there is a redline. It's just hard to see as it comes up so quickly.

Hey Anthony......how are you ?

I'll have to check the tach and let you know.

As far as car chases , I don't think Bad Boys is up there with some of the real good ones.
My personal favorite for car chases is the movie Ronan.

What's a full-on, multi coat concours quality paint job cost? I'm looking at two 965s and KevTse's restoration projects have me jonesing for a car makeover.

Doing great, better if I could get away from my job. Just came back from a great weekend at Pocono, albeit a little cold. 36 degrees Sunday morning with ice on the cars.

I agree it is a good chase scene more memorable because of the car they chose. If it were a mustang or Corvette I wouldn't have given it the time of day.

Wish they had more of the car in it. Although having Tea there helped the rest of the movie when the real star was out of the picture.
