Default Airbox removal

I'm replacing my rear suspension and need to pull the airbox to get to the right side. How do I get it out? It doesn't fit in between the fuel system stuff and the AC lines.
Do I need to pull the AC compressor to give it more room?

It's been a while since I removed my ac compressor for good (for weight reasons), but I do remember needing to remove the top of the ac compressor to get the airbox out. Don't remove the ac pipes, just remove the top of the compressor and let it hang in the pipes/hoses. BTW the workshop manual says "allways replace" the bolts for the lower part of the suspension (if I remember correctly).

Undo the top bolts for the ac compressor, and don't forget to loosen the tensioner on the side of the bracket. I use a pry bar to tighten the belt and not this tensioner... Next lay a towel over the right rear fender and flip the ac compressor upside down and lay it on the towel. The lines are flexible so don't undo them... Then you'll have all of the access you need.

This is one of the reasons I have the BMC filter kit on my car; access to the engine bay... If you want to get a kit, just ask the Porsche doc... Good luck.

Which bolts? I put the lower bolts back on for the fronts. I assume those get re-torqued everytime you do an alignment, so no need to replace.

The lower bolts at the rear, one on each side.
The ones you tourqe to around 200Nm (not sure about the exact number).

Also, when you fit the damper at the rear you will probably use a jack to lift the control arm, when the bolt is in, jack the control up further (same level as when you drive the car) and then tourqe the bolt, less twisting on the rubber part of the bushing when the car is on the ground.

Do you have the part numbers for those bolts? I guess I better order them.

I managed to get my airbox off with the AC in place - it was tight, but doable.

Sweet. Thanks Staffan.
Do you think the front bolts should be replaced, too?
