Default 964 T Favorite Gear?

So the question is, whats your favorite gear and why? Granted, we have one less than the 6speeders, making the choice a tad easier, but its a tough one.

For me, its simple: 2nd gear all the way. I can ride 2nd for just about anything from 5, 6mph to , while i dont exactly recall, lets call it, flying up an on ramp full mach. 2nd gear has crazy pull and torque sufficient to knock the wife unconscious if she's just babbling on and on, interfering with the bwah of the engine. "uh honey, look at that cute puppy dog!" she looks left, BANG, you slam the gas, her head snaps against the headrest rendering her unconscious for a few minutes while you can just drive. <G>
its a gear with a lot of pop, a good amount of speed , definately some of our best accelerationn, and the one i think i end up using the most.
i mean no disrespect to 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th. yet, end of day, if i had to live with one gear, 2nd would be my honey.

Drew I wish I had better news! Still got a little hang-up around 5k. PhD is brain-storming with Geoffrey and what the X%$# it could be! I kind of wish he had not called me after driving her down the street at the shop, now I am sitting on pins and needles waiting to get behind the wheel again. I kind of figure tow of the best in the P-Car business are working on it, so it will get done right at some point soon. I will have Kaspar post a few picks when its done. The engine bay is a piece of work to say the least. He really did a nice job packaging things and color matching. The custom plumbing is awesome, the intake is as big as your leg!

PS: thanks for rubbing in with the 150 at the glenn!

I would say 2nd or 3rd but with 600+ HP and a 7800 RPM redline they are all pretty fun.

I would say 2nd gear. I only drive on the street so 2nd gear all the way to about 5.5k rpm and to haft of 3rd and just cruise....awesome.

How many hate 1st gear? I do. I think there is a real separation between 1st gear and the rest of the gears. I could not get a real smooth transition from 1st to 2nd gear unless I shift really really fast.

I have to go with 2nd. Like Sonny I don't drive my Turbo on the track, I use the Carrera for that. 3rd is great when you are in boost, 4,500 RPM and up which = well over 100mph which = jail time. As a result, I will stick with 2nd.

I hate 1st gear - too short. 2nd is perfect!

3rd is a challenge for the reasons cited by JRossRSA above.

3rd for me!Find a nice opening stretch of road, nail it from 50-110 in a few seconds, drop into 4th and cruise , chat to my passenger as if nothing had happened, meanwhile ready to slow if i have alerted any dozing cops!

I think if there were an autobahn near it might be a different gear..

Also on track 3rd is so flexible..

2nd Gear - Insane tourque when you mash the pedal and incredible sound (B&B Exhaust) when you decelerate.
