Default Lightened Flywheel Options? Patrick Motorsport?

I'm going lightened/ lightweight flywheel.

Reading through the old posts the majority who've done it say its well worth doing. It seems most have gone for the RS set up.

My mechanic is recommending the Patrick Motorsport FW. Anyone fitted it here?

Your experiences and feedback much appreciated...

Miles fitted an RS flywheel to his 3.6t.

I hope he might comment for you.

If you search 'flywheel' there are lots of good threads on people's experiences, but no mention of the Patrick product. They told me its a good weight saving 12.5lbs, and is good for street. I guess I may be the guinea-pig here...

Patrick Motorsport would never return my telephone calls. The guy who "knew" about the products I was interested in was never available...

I had the RS set-up on my car (instaLLED BY IMAGINEAUTO). It worked well, a little tough on incline starts, but you get used to it quickly. I had a transmission seal problem, and fried it. Due to the EFI conversion I had planned to do, we opted for a different set up to replace it (GT2 variant). Its very on/off and does shudder some to be sure. The RS should be fine unless your going to go above 400whp. I have no comment on the Patrick Motorsports, but everything I have ever heard about that organization has been positive. Unless is cheaper for some reason, my own two cents is to go with the tried and tested RS, changes are expensive and labor consuming.

So....... If you stay CIS then it looks like the RS set up is okay?

in my experience, yes, the RS is just fine. Not nearly as noisy as my current set up at idle.
