You see my . is missing, & I'm trying to figure out what might work as a suitable replica. I don't want to buy the whole enchilada just for the ..

Hey melmanc55 thanks for the pic. Is the . round or oval? I thought it was round, but in that pic is looks kinda oval, then I thought maybe it was just the angle that the camera was at?

I heard that the last cars came without the dot as standard. There is no mark on my car where a dot could have been.
Actually i preferred my 930 in that it just had "turbo" - nuff said !

The "Turbo 3.6" emblem is available from FVD, article number 965 559 221 00, price $45. I ordered -and received- one since my dot got agitated (disappeared) as well. I now understand that this is a commond problem. The new emblem looks identical to the old one apart from the fact that the new one still has the 'dot'.
The 'dot' is actually quite elongated, something between a comma (Porsche is German, right?) and an actual dot.

I have 2 spares myself.
There is a thread about 2-3 years back when I posted the actual location of the dot. It is a common problem and ironically when I measured it I actually knocked it off. It is only held on by some adhesive and can easily be replaced.

Anthony, I see what you mean about the orange peel. It is quite bad on that green car.
I also laughed when I heard that you knocked off your . while measuring
