The easiest and most noticeble mods that I would recommend are: Springs and Shocks / Cat bypass pipe (if you don't have emissions testing). With the stock spring and wastegate, the cat bypass pipe is going to give you better throttle response with quicker spool times and allow that k27 to breeth. The springs and shocks will give you better handling and a more controlled ride.

Patrick, sorry for hi-jacking your thread.
Jay yeah, summer time is better, let me know if you are in the neighbourhood during september-oktober when the car is back from Germany.

I agree with Drew about the suspension and cat. I would also get rid of silencer but that's only if you want exciting noise!

Shocks, Springs, Cat by-pass, G-pipe are already taken care of. What i want now i more power/boost.

Is wastegate spring the best way to go? And how is fuel mixture if a put more boost?

Patrick,

While I don't have a 964 Turbo and am not really all that familiar with 964T. I do have a modified 930 though, and I can tell you that for a stock CIS 930, aftermarket headers (like B&B), 1 bar spring, Kevin and Stephen's KKK-27HFS turbo would probably take the car close to the numbers you mentioned. In the 930s we definitely need an adjustable WUR to adjust the fuel pressures though in order to get enough fuel when under boost. Brian Leask who has a username of FLYN930 on Rennlist makes them adjustable at a reasonable price. The above is the least expensive way that I know of to get more power to one's CIS car.

One thing to keep in mind though is that when you decide to go EFI, which most of us seem to want to do at some point (I am doing it right now) to get a more reliable and enjoyable car, the K27-HFS and the adjustable WUR investments are a bit of a nuisance because now those items need to get sold along with the other CIS parts. Of course the K27-HFS does not have to get sold, but you'd probably want to change it to a K27-HF2 or some other turbocharger matching your power targets for an EFI car.

Anyhow, if this was not relevant to your great looking 964T, please just ignore the post. Just thought I'd respond since you are from Göteborg, a frindship town to my old hometown in Finland.

Hi Patrick - I've got the twin of your car! It's also got a g-pipe, 1 bar spring and similar wheels. In India Red, naturally

Welcome Kusee pee,...

Nice car!! I like it a lot;;.

When you changed your wastegate spring did you do anything with the Fuel mixture or did it just go like hell right away?

Can't say I'm afraid cos it was done prior to my ownership but I think I remember the owner saying that the fueling had not been changed and was checked at the time to see if it would need to be. It certainly goes - like hell on fire

T61 BB turbocharger (with oil restrictor), Electronic boost controller, decent headers/exhaust (I had B&B with a Borla XR-1 muffler): went from 242/262rwhp/tq to 387/423rwhp/tq. Modified for 8 years now, no issues
