Thanks for all the replies---I will be going with the Sport seats.

Dan had recommended a set of GHL headers (or other aftermarket brand) as an upgrade to the car. Unfortunately I just missed out on a decent used set for not a lot of $$$. Anyone know of an available used set that is reasonably priced ?

Here's the problem with the GHL headers, the wastegate pipe diameter is 1 5/8". It should be at least 1 3/4" if not 1 11/16" diameter. You could possibly also run into over boost problems with the silenoid on the intercooler and you might not pass emmissions very easily because the header install removes the air injection system.

I would still recommend the upgrade if you can over come everything that I mentioned...

Still looking for a 964 turbo preferably a lighter color. I am not too interested in any I have seen in the Autotrader. Anybody know about any cars for sale, preferably white or silver?

That 3.6T at Dans is nice. I was thinking of buying it too. I think it is a good deal on a nice car. I am pretty sure that it is formerly owned by Oliver Zitsman. If so, Charlie & I looked at it back in ~2004. Oliver sold it to a dealer and I'm not sure where it went after that.
This was Zitsmann's car?

I looked at it also. Nice car and very clean at the time. He was stubborn on the price and we couldn't come to an agreement. IIRC he sold the car to the dealer for what I offered him, go figure. BTW I have his contact info if you need to contact him.

Here are some pictures of your car to be a few years back.

My recommendation would be for you to drive the car first before you modify it. Since you're getting an engine rebuild, best to check whether the car runs right in stock condition. Should something not be right, you'll be chasing your tail. I did B&B headers, 1 bar spring, etc. before I even drove it and it took me a long time to get the car perfect.

Hey Anthony,

Thanks for the pix!!! I can't wait to pick up the car---looks like March 3 will be the delivery date....I think. Just sold the '95 993 Cab today as well. It is going to a good home on Friday.

Frank,

Thanks for the advice---you are right about driving it in stock form for a while. I sometimes get caught up in the mod process a little too quickly. With that said though, what would you recommend for pure performance upgrades? Are the B&B headers the way to go?

Thanks again for all your input!!!

Mike

I got caught up in that as well with B&B headers, 1 bar spring, Euro ride height, clear bra before I ever drove the car. What's worse, I only drove the car for about 500 miles last year because of lack of time.

Dan is the man with these cars, take his advice. If you do the search, there are many people on this board with cracked headers, whether B&B or GHL, etc.... Enjoy it! Maybe we can do a 964 turbo run with Anthony sometimes.

+1 to what Frank says.

Yes we need to get a group together this year. Maybe try to find some place picturesque so we can get some good pictures of all the turbos in a row and then go for a nice drive.

Mike,

I'll be there for two DE's this Summer; both of which are still taking registrants. PM me if you want the details.
