He sure leaned on the car a lot. That's pretty annoying.

It looks like they wanted to take it home with them.

Actually the person in charge of the show asked if the car was for sale - I declined.

If you notice in their appraisal schedule, all of their cars except lances are in the 30 to 45 year old period. That makes a big difference when they rate collectability. I also question if these guys appreciate the value of a Porsche air cooled versus water cooled turbo. Certainly the water cooled turbos have and will continue to pump up the 964 and 993 turbo prices.

While its cool to have a low mileage collectible car (my 92 has 33,000 miles), I sure don't plan on saving miles for the next owner. I drive mine. In general, cars are not a very smart investment.

With that being said, I think I might be scared to drive Lance's as its too nice.

Look at the GT2, not many people want to use it for what it was built for, racing!

However the 2.7RS and 993 GT2 have been a good 'investment' in the last 4 years or so...

- it's meant to be driven - plus the miles on the car are about 24k miles (from what I remember).

Actually I enjoy my 86' 3.2 carrera as a daily car more than the turbo, but for track event, I need power, it can run with the later 996 turbo. I can't wait for the next event in March. Going to Sepang, Malayasia ( F1 circuit ) together with some exoctic.......GT1, 997 GT3, Aston Martin DBRS9...
