Default Who know about Mint Green Turbo 91

Who knows about this color for a 91 964 Turbo called Mint Green. Everyone I know has never seen one other than this one. Anyone know how many they painted this color in 91 for the USA market? Or does anyone have any info? Photo attached

Only its mother could love this color. I understand Porsche would relunctantly do special custom colors back in the early 90's when they were trying to rebuild their market share. The color may not suit everyones taste but it is probaby rare. That could be good or bad relative to resale. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Top Gear tested a '93 RHD Turbo 3.6 in this colour and the same car appeared in a UK mag a few years ago. I agree it's a colour that does nothing for the car no matter how many times I see it.

Man...If it was the late 80's, early 90's again I would be ordering a 965 with Mint Green exterior and white leather interior with mint piping..And white guage faces...

Very Miami Vice...

Not the same car, but most likely the same color/combination. Still amazes me what you can find on the internet and colors one would come across.

I bought a 2k miles 993 in this colour a few years back, it was an option. I was hoping it would grow on me, but needless to say it lasted one week before I repainted the car silver inside out ( I still have all the pics). Made money on the resale in fact! Sometimes original might not be better.

This car has been for sale for quite a while. The link is likely a repost; I offer my sincere and humble apologies if it is. Technically it is probably in great shape and -just between you and me- I actually like the color. If I had to choose between 'Signal Green' and black however, I would go with black any day of the week.

It was a stock color at the time, there are a few 968's built around the same time running that color. Doesn't one of the contributing editors of 911 & Porsche World magazine run one the same color, I think he calls it the Peppermint Pig.

I read an article in Purely Porsche I think wich had a 965 & 993TT in these colours, quite a pair! I've still got the magazine somewhere, doesn't say how many were produced in this color though & that was the question now wasn't it ;-)
Cheers, Paul

Yes i think so. As for the colour, yes it is different, but i actually dont mind it. I am picking sale and re/sale price would be lower tho. But if you dont care about that go for it, with a satisfactory PPI or two of course.

After seeing lots of black and red Turbos I have to confess I rather like mint green and signal green.

Back in 2000 when I was looking for an SC I ran across an mint green 3.3 Turbo on Ebay that was being sold by a dealer up in Petoskey, Michigan. I thought it was really cool but wasn't looking to spend that much money at the time.
Wish I'd bought it anyway.

Default mint green turbo

The Mint Green turbo in the picture was for sale on autotrader about 5/6 years ago. If I recall it had 38,000 miles and was a 2 owner car. At the time I was too cheap to buy it but loved the color. The Color was a standard color in 1992 Mint Green (paint code 22R) with Light Grey leather. The car was for sale in Daytona Beach, FL and I beleive he pulled it off the market? I have just put a few of our 964's up for sale, our web site is www.theaircooledguys.com

Best regards
Kevin Watts
