CIS air intake noise?
Does anyone know if you remove the airbox on our CIS turbo car's, and install an open air filter, is there any difference to the intake sound?

i have a box style but with the open air filter on the end of it on my 964 turbo and i dont think there is much improvement in noise at all plus i had to manufacture a shield for round about it as i suspected it would be drawing in more hot air!!

I have this Power flow one which I used on my 3.6T.
I think the sound was better. Car ran cooler and it cleaned up the engine bay so you could get you hands in there. I don't need it any more.

Thanks for the offer but I am going with the BMC kit from the the Doc, Stephen @ Imagine Auto. But that intake is a nice product too. I'll post pics when the project is done by the end of the week.
