AFR/BOOST/ENGINE DATA GAUGE
Have a look on the following website.
http://www.lenz.de/lambdameter/fahrzeuge/porsche.htm
Lenz Motorentechnik in Germany offers a very interesting OEM clock replacement gauge, which shows AFR/optional boost pressure and other engine data.
All of this on top of a clock reading and original warning lights. So finally a solution to eliminated the standard clock, without having system problems.
Looks very professional!
I'm going to contact them in order to receive more info! I'll keep you posted.

Geert

Hi Geert,
I met you at the UK Porsche festival.
That gauge sounds great. please can you tell us how much it is, and how easy it is to fit (of course i will get my garage to do it!)

Hello Mark,
Sure I will get you more info on the gauge and even will prepare a translation of the product flyer if you want. My car hasn't been doing a lot of miles since the trip to the UK, but meanwhille I have been preparing a some mods for the near future!
For 2007, looking forward being in UK again visting a Porsche event.

Yepp,
on the website itself, they mention clearly sections for 911 C1 / 911 C2 (964) / 993. For each section they refer to the same flyer, although mentioned 1970-1989. When you have a closer look into the flyer, the flowcharts also clearly indicate c1/c2/993.
I'll get in touch with Lenz as soon as possible and request the necessary info.

As stated on the website for 964/993
- functions are integrated and visable @ malfunction
- for turbo models, boost is available
I think the warning lights come on like on a multifuntional display on recent cars.

Sounds cool, i've been pushing Blownsix Design for their design info and I recently was able to receive this image as their final gauge layout. They told me it will be available on the market by around Feb 2007.

No contact with Lenz yet.
However basic set as shown on the photo
is 780€ or 1000$. Warning light functions for 964 and 993 incl.
Will give an update on add. functionalities, like engine data display/logging, once I've been in contact with Lenz.

Burning Brakes
Hi john, thanks for your concern. I am waiting for a new EZ69 unit which I should have received by next tuesday/wednesday, and then we should know if that was the problem or something else. According to Porsche Cyprus' email,
"Dear Emilios,
Further to your technical inquiries please note the following:
As you already know we have no sparking current from the ignition coil and this is the reason that the engine doesn’t start.
We have power to the EZ box.
The crank sensor signal is OK at the EZ box.
The coil is checked and looks Ok.
The wires to the coil have power.
Everything points that the EZ box is NOT ok."
Keeping my fingers crossed as I really miss the damn thing... it's been over a month and a half.
