New Rennlister from Spain
Hi everybody:
This is David from Madrid (Spain) and this is my 911 (964) Turbo 3.3 '92. The car was bought in pristine condition with 55,000 miles... yes it is an US version as you could see and i'm the third owner.
That is my second Porsche (before I had a Carrera 3.2 '86) and really love his mid range and astonishing brakes.
It is pretty standard, only Koni Sport shock Absorbers and M030 european springs (shorter and stiffer than original US version) was made two months ago. Anyway I think i'm gonna make some changes in the short term and i hope you guys help me a lot!!
First i would like to improve the response and to reduce turbo lag so i'm having in mind cat-bypass or maybe whole system (heaers, mufflers, etc.) what brands do you recommend (B&B, Goingsuperfast, Imagine auto, etc.)
Second, I'm wanting to put 18".
Does anyone know the minumum offset allowed? I would like to achieve a 'deep dish' look both front and rear.
Third,... forget it!! not enough money
Thank you and regards,
666

Welcome, 666! You have a beautiful car. How did you get your European license plate to fit on the back of a US spec bumper?

Thanks everybody, nice to share this passion with you!!
Hi Turbo 3.6, Let's see in Spain law is very restrictive, we have only 3 different types of plates (white and ugly not like yours) and i choose the smallest. Actually, it is a front plate for specific european models specially Alfa Romeo (147, GT, Brera) etc. but my car is an US version and it is homologated to use it and to use it in the rear, in fact, any other plate could fit that particular space.
hey guys, any advice or help on these questions?

Hi 911adict (me too )
Which brand do you recommend in both, headers and bypass?
any problem with changes? what about reliability? you know, my car is enterely original and i just want to change if the reliability is, at least, the same.
one more question, heat-exchangers issue, with or without them? again, which brand?
thanks a lot, regards,
666

My cat bypass is by Scart http://www.scart-exhausts.com/ang/pr...e=28&modele=45
It is very good quality and fit. It sounds nice (but still not loud) and response is definitley better. You can buy it from several suppliers as well as Scart direct.
I don't have headers yet, as my existing are quite new. I looked into it and they add great power and response reducing turbo spool below 2000rpm. They costs around £1500+. Imagine Autos do them, and are Rennlist sponsors. Here is their site: www.ImagineAuto.com
You can have heat.
Most seem to offer guarantees. People say they are reliable for road use.
regards,
Mark
